On Sunday, November 6, France was still a net exporter to most neighbors – except Germany. Between those two countries, power lines were maxed out as France imported as much electricity as it could from the Germans most of the time. Power prices on the exchange were thus unaligned, with the French easily paying 10 percent more – but up to 50 percent more during the evening, when demand peaks. (Image source: RTE)
