Sofía has a Bachelor's degree in Anthropology specializing in Archaeology from the Faculty of Social Sciences at the University of Chile. She is currently pursuing a master’s degree in economics and international law of Climate Change at FLACSO Argentina. She is the director of the Energy Transition Laboratory in Argentina. Her focus is on the research area of climate change, policies, and energy transition.
Alex Chapman is a Senior Economist at the New Economics Foundation. He has a PhD from the University of Southampton and focuses primarily on the economic impacts of climate policy on workers and households in the UK and EU.
Marine Cornelis is the executive director and founder of Next Energy Consumer, a policy consultancy focused on the social aspects of the energy and climate transitions at European and international levels. Her work bridges the needs and experience of the civil society, the scientific communities, the business and the policymakers, in the energy and climate transitions. Before Next Energy Consumer, Marine served as the Secretary-General of NEON, the European network of energy dispute resolution services and ombudsmen in Brussels. For the past 12 years, she has been focusing her work on consumer protection and empowerment issues. Her commitment enabled Marine to be appointed one of the first ambassadors of the European Climate Pact. Marine is a French national with perfect command of English and Italian. She holds a MA in political sciences (Sciences Po Lille, France) and economics (University of Lille, France).
Yana Zabanova is a Research Associate at the Research Institute for Sustainability - Helmholtz Centre Potsdam (RIFS Potsdam), where she focuses on the geopolitics of the global energy transformation, including its implications for the hydrocarbon-rich states in post-Soviet Eurasia, as well as on EU hydrogen policy. She is also a PhD candidate at the University of Groningen (NL).
Poliana Dallabrida is a São Paulo-based journalist. Since 2016, she has been engaged in research on human rights violations and environmental crimes within supply chains. She is an editor at Repórter Brasil and holds a Master's degree in Brazilian Studies from the University of São Paulo.
Sophie Yule-Bennett is a competition lawyer specialising in electricity markets, demand flexibility and energy justice. She has nearly two decades of regulatory and policy experience spanning the UK government, renewables project finance, climate tech start-ups and civil society. Sophie is passionate about making smart energy more inclusive of households and small businesses and is fascinated by how different people experience innovative technologies, offers and services.
Euan Graham is an analyst at the independent energy thinktank Ember. Prior to joining Ember, Euan led work on electricity market reform at Citizens Advice, the statutory advocate for energy consumers in England and Wales.
Ros Taylor is EU-UK liaison for Heinrich-Böll-Stiftung European Union, Brussels. She has edited the London School of Economics’ COVID-19 blog, presents the Bunker and Oh God, What Now? podcasts and is a freelance editor and consultant at Open Society Foundations. She previously edited the LSE’s Brexit blog and was Research Manager at the School’s Truth, Trust & Technology project. She was an editor and writer at the Guardian for 14 years.
